The Mixed Reality suite housed right here in Walton Institute, SETU Waterford, features on the iProperty Radio podcast, alongside Camille Donegan from Eirmersive.
iProperty Radio is home to Ireland’s first weekly property radio show. Launched in 2019 on Dublin South FM 93.9 and available internationally via iTunes and Spotify, each show features industry chat with guests from the areas of property, technology, planning and construction.
In this episode, Carol interviews Stephen Barnes and Ryan McCloskey from our Mixed Reality Lab team who bring her on a tour of our equipment, funded by Enterprise Ireland Capital Call while discussing the real-world industry applications of immersive technologies. The iProperty Radio team demo VR and AR headsets in our Waterford based lab discovering the new and exciting opportunities these technologies can provide to companies. Stephen and Ryan also bring the team through our digital photogrammetry lab called Botscan Neo; the only one of its kind in Ireland which can be used to create a 3D model of almost anything or anyone in 7minutes.
The show stars Property District’s CEO, Carol Tallon and is produced by Katie Tallon both of whom formed PLACEengage – a XR based public consultation and community engagement platform, winner of the Excellence in Public Sector Services Support Award (2021). Walton Institute are currently working on a second Innovation Voucher for PLACEengage following the successful completion of two services through our ENTIRE EDIH.
