TSSG hosts second 'Towards TeraHertz Communication Workshop'

Dr. Alan Davy of the Telecommunication Software & Systems Group, WIT has just returned from a very successful second Towards TeraHertz Communications Workshop hosted at the European Commission in Brussels. The event saw over 100 attendees from academia and industry, interested in this hotly emerging field. Attendees learned of the most recent technological advances and challenges within the area. TeraHertz communication is widely seen as the answer to every increasing demands for higher capacity wireless connections for beyond 5G. The event was organised by the ICT Beyond 5G Cluster, which is a cluster of projects funded under the ICT-09-2017 “Networking Research Beyond 5G” call, of which Dr. Davy coordinates the TERAPOD project.
