Supported by Kilkenny County Council and Southeast Technological University, PACE will deliver advanced ICT software to the Irish agriculture and food sectors. PACE serves agro-food processors, farm advisory services, companies selling services and products to the agri sector, agri-tech SME’s and start-ups and rural-based industries which have the potential to transform into higher technology, higher value businesses. PACE also serves regulatory, compliance and policy authorities by providing a technology resource to support their mission. PACE focuses on technologies across all TRL levels, but with a primary focus on market-ready solutions (TRL 8 – 9) and aims to bridge the gap between IP owners/knowledge providers and agri-tech companies.
The Society, Economy and Environment (SEE) Space Network is a landmark pool of decades of talent, knowledge and expertise between SETU, Walton Institute, MTU and Blackrock Castle Observatory. The aim of the network is to leverage the educational, economic and societal benefits of the global space industry which is projected to be worth €2 trillion by 2030. The network will apply shared expertise in areas such as cybersecurity, telecommunications, quantum communications, materials science, photonics and advanced manufacturing to space in an effort to solve problems that are relevant to the region and the country, building the Irish Space Coast and attracting inward investment from national and international sources.
