Catherine Cunniffe

Catherine is the Division Manager for the Professional Software Engineering Services (PSES) Division in Walton Institute and the Delivery Manager for Walton Institute. Catherine manages a high performing, professional and committed team of Engineers who reliably deliver the following functions and services to Domestic and International clients: Design & Development, Software Engineering, Test Verification and Validation. Catherine brings over 20 years’ experience across a broad base of the IT and telecommunications industries.

Catherine has vast experience of delivering high quality commercial products, excellent experience of working directly with Customers and fully appreciates the pain that Customers experience in trying to get a product to market, Catherine has also worked in start-ups along with large multinationals. Catherine has led system test and operations teams in several different industries ranging from Telecommunications to IT.

Catherine began her career with Tecnomen in Shannon, Ireland and then moved to work with Logica Mobile Networks. During her time with Logica, Catherine worked on the delivery of their SMSC and MMSC products in the role of Senior Test Engineer and System Test Analyst. She then moved to Waterford Technologies where she held the position of System Test and Operations Manager before moving to work with Walton Institute.

Catherine has worked as Project Manager / Scrum Master for many of the projects in Walton Institute. Catherine played a key role in fostering the software configuration management processes and practices that were adopted on the Feed Henry projects: FeedHenry, a leading cloud based mobile applications platform provider headquartered in Waterford Ireland, was acquired by Red Hat Inc. (NYSE: RHT) for $82 million in October 2014. Catherine is responsible for the testing oversight of multiple research and development projects in the telecommunications space, including design, development and testing processes. More recently Catherine is supporting our international projects, delivering software solutions into our customer’s market places.
