Bruna Karen de Sousa Costa Queiroz da Fonseca is a PhD Candidate at South East Technological University (SETU), Walton Institute. She is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer and received her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Control and Automation from the Federal University of Campina Grande – UFCG in 2019. Her PhD research is supervised by Dr. Sasitharan Balasubramaniam and Dr. Michael Barros.
In her undergraduate studies she was a researcher at the Radiometry Lab at the UFCG in 2014 – 2015. In 2017 she was also a Visiting Researcher at Edmond & Lily Safra International Institute of Neurosciences working within a group of engineers and physicians, publishing a paper from this research. She was an R&D researcher at the Johnson Controls Lab. in partnership with the UFCG in 2017 – 2018. She was also a researcher at the Human-Machine Interface Laboratory – HMIL at the UFCG in 2018.
She is currently working with implantable Bio-nano devices to sensor, monitor and actuate in molecular communications and neurological brain diseases.
